Chris Harris Will Star In A Load Of Awesome Online Top Gear Videos

'Chris Harris On Cars' may seemingly be on hold, but worry not - if you want more 'Monkey' action, you're going to get it!
Chris Harris Will Star In A Load Of Awesome Online Top Gear Videos

As the rumours of Chris Harris’ Top Gear appointment gathered pace, his YouTube channel - Chris Harris On Cars - went a little quiet. However, if you follow the man on Twitter or Instagram you’ll know he’s still been out filming stuff with videographer partner-in-crime Neil Carey, so we’ve been wondering exactly where all that juicy content might go.

Now we have the answer. TopGear.com announced today that Harris will be - in his own words - producing “longer-form, more detailed web films” to be exclusively shown on the website. He’ll still be on Top Gear and Extra Gear, but these videos will be for those who are after more in the way of geeky detail. People like us, in other words.

If you take a look at the trailer over on TopGear.com (it seems the trailer’s exclusive to TG too so we can’t embed, boo), you’ll see what we have to look forward to, with cars including the Porsche 911 Turbo S, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder and Alfa Romeo Giulia all in slidey action.

Best news in ages, I was seriously getting frustrated that the Monkey ditched his own brilliant films for Top Gear. Rejoice!

I need this so much. His bit on TG was good and all, but I did felt like something was missing, Neil’s videography. This is great news!!

I was under the impression Neil was part of the Top Gear production team? Might be wrong though

I enjoyed seeing him on actual TG last night rather than just the stupid Extra Gear. He and Rory did an awesome job. Evans can’t compete with the others.

He got a negative reception from many twitter people who obviously have no idea about cars
