Classifieds' Car Of The Day: AWD Jaguar X-Type V6 Manual
With the weather closing in fast and our desire to take advantage of the snowy conditions increasing at a rate of knots, today's 4x4 Jaguar-shaped Car Of The Day could be the perfect winter tool.
Based on Ford's CDW27 platform (the same used for the 1993-2006 Mondeo), the X-Type - initially offered with AWD only - was produced between 2001 and 2009. The 3.0-litre V6 model you're looking at here produces 228bhp and 206lb/ft of torque. Thanks to its AWD system, the 3.0-litre was (and still is) a thirsty beast to run, but with prices well below the £3k mark, that's a small price to pay for a leather-clad luxury cruiser.
The 3-series rival also offered decent handling, lots of standard equipment and good safety.
Better still, is that this car comes with a manual gearbox, albeit with just the five forward cogs.
The car in question also comes with 73k miles, an eight-month MOT and a full service history.
If you're in the market for a cheap but luxurious winter hack, you'll be hard-pressed to beat the X-Type Jaaaaaag.
