Classifieds' Car Of The Day: BMW E36 M3 Evo
Ahh, the E36 M3 Evolution. What a car. Compared with the standard E36 M3, the Evo's engine was bored from 3.0 litres to 3.2 litres, which saw power rise to a favourable 321bhp. The performance figures speak for themselves: 0-60mph in 5.5sec and 155mph (limited) top speed.
No wonder, then, that they make a great used buy, which is exactly why we're putting this lovely-looking, £4500 example in the spotlight.
This 1997 car comes with stacks of bills, a tracker, a six-speed manual 'box and leather seats you'd sell a kidney or two for.
Mileage is on the high side at 150k, but these engines really were built to last. Further features of this Evo include a decent amount of Tax and MoT, an electric sunroof and beautiful Cosmos metallic black paint work. The interior looks to be in great condition too, with unblemished cream leather and lashings of wood.
If Jeff's recent Readers' Rides submission is anything to go by, life with an E36 M3 sure is sweet. For under £4.5k, you'd struggle to find a nicer example in the UK. Tempted?
