Classifieds' Car Of The Day: V6 Ford Mondeo ST220 Sports Saloon
If you want a sporty, quick saloon on the used market, there are plenty of options out there. But what if you're on a tight budget? Well then we suggest you give the Ford Mondeo ST220 a look.
The ST220 has a 3.0-litre V6 which churns out a decent 226bhp, enough for a 0-60mph time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 150mph. It may be driven by the front wheels, but it's a belter to drive, and as you'll see from the video at the bottom, even Clarkson is a fan.
The best part? These things are now dirt cheap, so you'll forgive the fact that the interior is a little low rent, and that it doesn't have the coolest image.
This one is up for just £1695, and has us sorely tempted. Is there a better all-round performance car for the cash?
