Climbkhana Is At Last Here In All Its Tyre-Shredding Glory
Ken Block's latest celebration of drift has been worth the wait, with eight glorious minutes of Pikes Peak tyre shredding to enjoy
We’ve been waiting almost a year for Ken Block’s Climbkhana film. For whatever reason it’s taken an age to edit, so has it been worth it? You betcha.
In fact, I’m going to stick my neck out and say it’s probably the best video Block has ever done. The cinematography is stunning, there are props aplenty for the 1400bhp ‘Hoonicorn V2’ to drift around, and there’s even what looks like a cheeky reference to the famous Ari Vatanen ‘Climb Dance’ video shot at Pikes Peak back in the late 1980s.
Sit back, relax, hit play, and enjoy eight or so minutes of tyre smoke and V8 noise.

That six in way good
I lost all enthusiam for the Hoonicorn after learning that the car started as a very good condition, seemingly all stock, original Mustang. Reduced to nothing more than it’s shell.

Considering you can buy brand new, bare shells for Mustangs, built as accurate patterns to the originals, it pains me knowing they tore up a clean, original car, only for a part they could readily have bought with a quick Google search
Thanks for that link, had to read it…
Ken Block: The Hoonicorn, or how to take an original ‘66 Mustang in good condition, then destroy it to get an AWD Mustang because he can’t handle anything not being AWD or he’ll spin out
What a load of BS. Mustangs from that gen arent rare or anything, so he took one and put it to good use. Its his property after he buys it anyway.
Well… We know where good year gets their tires from.
They should run the 200$ E36 Sh*tcar they have on Pikes Peak.
Wonder if it would pass the brake check…
(Messes up corner on summit)
I’m not a fan of Block, far from that, as I think everything is too “easy” and bland, but I need to admit that this was massively impressive.
Like literally the most anticipated car video of the year
Daigo Saito has just got triggered
How did he not hit the crowd in the end??
