The Corvette C7's LT1 V8 Is Now Available As A Crate Motor: What Would You Put It In?
Whatever you were going to put under the hood of your project, scrap it. The LT1 crate motor is here
Chevrolet is heading to SEMA with something that is sure to get tuners all hot under the collar, and it’s not a ludicrously-modified car. What it is, in fact, is the Stingray’s LT1 V8 motor in crate form.
The engine has now been added to the Chevy catologue for the relatively inexpensive sum of $11,000. For that you get the 6.2-litre V8, which makes 454bhp and 465lb ft of torque. In the Stingray it’s good for 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds.
Here’s the important question though: What car would you fit this to? Let us know in the comments!
