The Cost Of Replacing An Aston Martin's Windscreen Will Make You Weep

A used Aston Martin may be cheap to buy, but sure as hell not cheap to run, as demonstrated by the hideous cost of this windscreen replacement

Recently, motoring journalist and Jalopnik columnist Freddy ‘Tavarish’ Hernandez got his hands on the V8 Vantage owned and run by a certain Doug DeMuro. It chucked out some hilariously expensive bills during Doug’s ownership, and it looks to be doing the same with Tavarish, as seen by this windscreen repair bill, which weighed in well over $4000. Cripes.

Thank god it was covered under insurance…

How to know if a car is expensive:

If it’s individual parts cost more than your entire car

I can’t believe this naive owner believes Safelite installed the correct glass. He has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. He obviously knows the windshield is different from original and it still okay that they replaced it with the wrong glass. He actually is acting like they did him a favor or something seriously? I would never in a million years let Safelite touch my car. Let alone replace glass with anything less than what it was built with from the factory. Not to mention they totally bent his insurance company over an overcharged the hell out of ‘em for an after-market glass. Definitely not an OEM window. Disgusts me to say the least. Unbelievable!
