CT Poll: F1, NASCAR Or BTCC?

Just over a week ago we asked you which super-saloon you’d rather take home. This time, we’re upping the ante as we want to know which motorsport you think is best

Clearly, each of our three contenders have their USPs, so here are a few tasters:

Take Formula One for example. Not only is it the best funded motorsport out there, but it’s also the most technically advanced. F1 cars don’t look the way they do for show, but because they’ve been designed to be as slippery, as light and as grippy as physics will allow. Granted, races can be bloody boring to watch, but when you’ve got F1 n00bs like Romain Grosjean behind the wheel, it’s pretty entertaining, too.

Next up, there’s NASCAR. Based loosely on production American ‘sedans’, these 750bhp V8 stock cars power around an oval track at an average speed of 200mph. Up to 43 cars can be on track at any time, so even the smallest nudge can result in fatal consequences. Still sound boring? 75 million NASCAR fans will beg to differ.

Finally, we’ve got the British Touring Car Championship. Like NASCAR, these racers are also based on production cars including offerings from BMW, Ford, Audi, Vauxhall, Honda and even MG. The aim of the game here is to nudge, barge and muscle your way through the pack whilst remembering not to wipe out your teammate.

Now that we’ve given you a little refresher, which motorsport gets your vote?
