This Dealership Will Give Away Free Buicks And GMCs If It Snows This Christmas

While bargain hunters across the US (and in Britain, for some reason) are busy trampling on each other and getting into fights over discounted flatscreen TVs, a Buick and GM dealership has come up with a novel way to get a bit of publicity and extra sales during the Black Friday madness. Bill Kay Buick GMC has promised buyers of any Buick or GMC a full refund of the purchase price if they buy the car on the 28th or 29th November, providing Chicago experiences a white Christmas.

Seems a little risky when the chance of such a thing - which will be determined by the weather station at O’Hare International Airport - is around 50 per cent, but there’s a catch. There’ll need to be at least six inches of snow before Bill Kay gives out the refunds. Since the most snow seen at O’Hare since records began is 2.5 inches, it’s a little unlikely. Regardless, Bill Kay isn’t taking any chances, and according to the Chicago Tribune, the dealer has arranged for its insurance company to pick up the bill should the near-impossible happen.
