House, who owns an exotic car salvage company, originally claimed to have swerved into Gulf Bay near La Marque, Texas, to avoid a low-flying pelican. This was shown to be false when the footage at the top of this page emerged, with said bird notably absent. His insurance company smelled a rat and eventually sued House for insurance fraud in a lawsuit that also claimed he attempted to bribe someone to steal and torch the hypercar.

A sentencing date is yet to be set.
