The DeLorean DMC-12 was nothing short of an motoring disaster. When the cars left the factory in Northern Ireland, they were found to be unreliable, poorly made, and shockingly slow. And then, in one of the most infamous moments in automotive history, the company went bankrupt while founder John DeLorean was busy getting arrested on drug trafficking charges.

And yet - helped in no small part by its Back To The Future appearance - the DeLorean has enjoyed an allure that is still very much alive today. The DMC-12 certainly appealed to Geoff Ombao, who ended up buying this example, which we can see here prowling the streets of Los Angeles after dark.
