After a week without any news from Grenoble Hospital, Michael Schumacher's manager released a statement on Friday with an update on his condition.

This was, partly, to rubbish media speculation that his condition was deteriorating. Sabine Kehm, the seven-time champ's long-term manager, said that he remains in a stable condition following a skiing accident on December 29th.

"Unfortunately I have to repeat that any information regarding Michael's health not coming from the doctors treating him or from his management must be treated as pure speculation," she said. "I also repeat that Michael's family is very happy and confident with the work of the team of doctors treating Michael, and they trust them completely. Michael's condition is still considered as stable."

The F1 legend remains in a medically-induced coma, but there could be a ray of hope in the latest update, with his condition not being described as "critical".

Get well soon, Michael.
