I can think of quite a few variables such as mass of each rotor, surface area for heat transfer, also highway vs stop n go driving. I would say temp is not as much of a concern as stopping distance and pedal fade. If a rotor runs cooler but has horrible stopping distance and pedal fade, then it performs worse
