The Ford GT came along during a heyday in supercar production, with Zondas, Enzos, SLRs and Carrera GTs roaming the streets. Inspired by the Le Mans-winning GT40, the GT sported a brutal 550bhp V8 that could propel the car to 60mph in under four seconds.

Despite being a legendary ‘Murican powerhouse, it does have its drawbacks, as explained here by Doug DeMuro. With values of these cars becoming stratospheric, watch as DeMuro investigates just what you might be letting yourself in for if you splash $400,000 on what was supercar royalty.
