This Dramatic M4 Safety Car Is Why You Need To Watch MotoGP
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe has been replaced by this M4 as the official safety car for GP motorcycle racing
If you don't already watch MotoGP bike racing, maybe it's time you should, as this BMW M4 has just been unveiled as the safety car for the 2014 season. Other than the obvious additions of the big flashing lights and gorgeous M Sport livery, the M4 safety car will also gain a carbonfibre front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler.
The engine is unchanged, which means a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six capable of 425bhp and 405lb/ft of torque. BMW has been the official safety car provider for MotoGP since 1999, most recently supplying an M6 Gran Coupe for the 2013 season.
The 2014 MotoGP season will kick off on 23rd March at Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
