Driver Escapes With Minor Injuries After Violent Porsche GT3 Flip

Pedro Piquet, son of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, was running sixth on the opening lap of the second Porsche GT3 Cup race in Goiânia, Brazil, when contact with a rival at high speed pitched his car into a terrifying barrel-roll. He was taken to hospital and kept overnight for observation, but only suffered minor injuries to his hand and bruising. Piquet posted the following post on Instagram after the crash.

His brother, ex-F1 driver and Formula E champion Nelson Piquet Jr, said on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/NelsonPiquet/status/645671491409850368) he was doing well and would be home soon.
