There really arenāt enough Picard facepalm Gifs in the world to appropriately react to this short but infuriating video. It shows a car coming back onto the motorway, having just been āeducatedā about lane discipline from Surrey Police, only to immediately ignore everything heās just been told and pull right over to the outside lane of a completely empty stretch of carriageway. Was he listening? At all?
Judging by the hashtag used in the tweet about the driver was fined - needlessly hogging the middle and outside lanes of a motorway in the UK can leave you with an on-the-spot fine of Ā£100, plus three penalty points on your license.

Well that is an absolutely stellar illustration of how utterly ignorant most British drivers are. Sure, our driving standards are impeccable if youāre used to Paris or anywhere in Italy, but sometimes you just want to grab people by the ears, shake them hard and check theyāre even awake.
