This Driver's Eye View Video Is The Closest We'll Get To Drag Racing The Dodge Demon

This footage from a helmet-mounted action camera hides how fast the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon really is, but wait for the second or third run and the car's launch is incredible

We’re quite excited to bring you one of the first driver’s eye viewpoints on the awesome Dodge Demon’s drag strip capabilities. Don’t give up watching after the first half-hearted launch, which is more a test run. As of the second attempt, this helmet-cam footage really shows the ferocity of the Dodge Challenge SRT Demon’s getaway.

Never mind the irony of watching someone from a magazine called Winding Road drive an 840bhp drag-focused car down the straight at the Lucas Oil Raceway. Just enjoy the repeated sprints down the quarter-mile strip.
