This Driver's Eye View Video Is The Closest We'll Get To Drag Racing The Dodge Demon
This footage from a helmet-mounted action camera hides how fast the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon really is, but wait for the second or third run and the car's launch is incredible
We’re quite excited to bring you one of the first driver’s eye viewpoints on the awesome Dodge Demon’s drag strip capabilities. Don’t give up watching after the first half-hearted launch, which is more a test run. As of the second attempt, this helmet-cam footage really shows the ferocity of the Dodge Challenge SRT Demon’s getaway.
Never mind the irony of watching someone from a magazine called Winding Road drive an 840bhp drag-focused car down the straight at the Lucas Oil Raceway. Just enjoy the repeated sprints down the quarter-mile strip.

That car almost looks possessed.. By say, a Demon?
He hasn’t gone all out… the passenger seat is still there
1$ of extra weight
The launch looks like if it isnt from this world. its demonic…
I was thinking of the same comment
Its brutally fast!
The REAL question is: Did it does less than 10 sec ??!
Yes it did, I was there because I live in town and was being nosy. The car ran a 9.97 the first pass and then they got it down to close to the advertised 9.63 with a 9.68
I can only imagine scaring my family with the second launch XD
The only thing this car good at is drag race, and its got banned from drag race
because NHRA rules state that any car that runs a 9.99 quarter or faster needs a roll cage and the demon doesn’t have one
matt robinson wants a go so bad…
That car is absolutely insane for an off the shelf car, there’s literally nothing that quick under 100 grand
Unless you were at the New York Auto Show where they had two cars you could sim- drag race against someone else, they were sweet
