This Driveway Was So Hungry It Swallowed A VW Lupo Whole

We recently saw a sinkhole swallow up a Mercedes C-Class, and in a similar event in Buckinghamshire, 19-year-old Zoe Smith walked out of her house to find her VW Lupo gone. Incredibly, it had been swallowed up by a 30-foot sinkhole on the driveway.

You can just see the outline of the car at the bottom of the hole. These incidents are apparently common in the area, due to clay mining going back many years. Building inspectors are checking whether or not the rest of the property is at risk.
