The Dubai Health Authority's New Ambulance Is A 182mph Lotus Evora S

On display at the UAE's big 'Gitex' technology show this week is the Dubai Health Authority's new first response vehicle: a 345bhp Lotus Evora S

Dubai’s police force has a fleet of patrol cars like no other law enforcement organisation, with vehicles like a Ferrari FF, Nissan GT-R and even a Bugatti Veyron at its disposal. Clearly, Dubai’s ambulance service felt a bit left out, so the country’s health authority now has a Lotus Evora first response vehicle to play with, which is on display this week at ‘Gitex,’ Dubai’s annual technology conference.

It’s the ‘S’ version, which means it has a mid-mounted 3.5-litre supercharged V6 developing 345bhp. That makes this one rather brisk first responder, with a 0-62mph time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 172mph. Paramedics will apparently require special training before being allowed behind the wheel.
