Final qualifying at Le Mans was red flagged due to rain, and the Audi R8 safety car emerged to sample the conditions, completing this absolutely incredible save at the Esses in the process

The driver turned out to be none other than Yannick Dalmas (FRA).

He won Le Mans four times (1992, 1994, 1995, 1999) for four different manufacturers (Peugeot, Dauer Porsche, McLaren, BMW).

The guy knows how to drive, is what I’m saying.

I hate to be “that guy,” but the R8 has AWD. 4WD is manually selectable diff locking. AWD is either always engaged or is set up so the car does it automatically (think Golf R).
