That’s why if I was in the market for an MX-5, it’d be the NB coupe with a V6 swap

That’s exactly what I want to do! I already found the mounting kit and everything to swap in a Honda J series v6 engine! And I also want to find the supercharger kit for the J series as well

I'm BUSing my luck

The last one about the roof is utter bs. ALL soft tops’ hoods go saggy and split after time.

If he has a problem with it he can buy a hard top roof and his car won’t be a convertible anymore

Number 1) 1.8 has 138bhp. Number 2) I swear no European cars beep like that. Mine certainly doesn’t

The thing about leaking roof is wrong too, every convertible at this age will leak a bit. And the last one, the sound is not bad for a small 4 cylinder engine, and it’s more about personal opinion.

Yeah all US spec mx5s have over 100hp… 1.6 is around 120 and the 1.8 is around 140. It’s kind of weird that he’d say otherwise. Only the phase 2 uk specs had around 90bhp. Oh and by the way, anyone looking for an mx5 in the uk… don’t get a UK model 1.6 between 1995 and 1997 because it is destined to disappoint.
