The Exalt Is The Latest Striking Concept Peugeot Won't Make

Peugeot's new concept has been revealed courtesy of a leak, and it's damn pretty

Peugeot Exalt

Peugeot has a track record when it comes to striking concepts - just look at the Onyx (below) - and its latest effort continues that trend. The above image of the Exalt and some details were accidentally sent to the French media, so we're able to get a good look at this comely creation before its debut at next week's Beijing motor show.

Peugeot Onyx

This four-door, four-seater has a body described as an "association of crude steel and an efficient textile, Shark Skin,

inspired by the structure of shark skin." It's powered by a four-wheel drive Hybrid4 powertrain, which uses a petrol engine and electric motor to produce a combined 335bhp.

As you've probably gathered from Peugeot's previous outlandish concepts, nothing like this will ever go into production. Instead, expect the Exalt to showcase technology and design touches that could eventually appear on more humble road-going Pugs.

Want to see more? Don't worry, we'll bring you further images and details of this concept when they're available.
