This F1 Car's 3D Cameras Will Blow Your Mind Up Goodwood Hill

This brilliant technology lets you point the camera wherever you want while you blast up Goodwood's famous hill with Anthony Davidson at the wheel

Remember the incredible technology that Mercedes used to produce interactive 3D videos of a couple of E63 AMGs and the W05 F1 car? It’s been in use again, this time to give users a brilliant interactive ride up the famous Goodwood Hillclimb aboard a Merecedes W03 F1 machine, with former F1 driver Anthony Davidson at the wheel.

The system uses a series of cameras to shoot the action simultaneously. The footage is then stitched together using incredibly clever software. The result is a video that lets you point the camera wherever you want as the F1 car blasts up the hill, a little like a moving version of Google Street View. Pretty neat, don’t you think?
