F1 Driver Roberto Merhi Just Caused A Bizarre Finish Line Smash In Formula Renault 3.5

While continuing his Formula Renault 3.5 campaign with the Pons team at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, Manor F1 driver Roberto Mehri crossed the finish line of the first race in 11th and slowed dramatically - for no apparent reason. This caught out Arden’s Nicholas Latifi, who slammed into the back of Mehri’s car before being sent into a violent barrel roll.

Fortunately, both Mehri and Latifi escaped the smash unscathed, although Mehri has been excluded from both of the Formula Renault 3.5 races at the Red Bull Ring.
