The F31 M3 Touring Is The Best Car BMW Won't Make
If you had the choice between a new M3 saloon or a new M3 Touring (the latter of which has been imagined by car designer X-Tomi Design), the choice is an obvious one. The Touring will always get the majority of your love.
Why BMW refuses to make one, then, remains a mystery. A world with a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six estate (425bhp; 405lb/ft; 0-62mph: 4.1sec) would be a better one, especially when said car could, potentially, look as wonderful as the car you see above; swollen arches, quad exhausts, spoilers and side skirts...yes please, BMW.
If history tells us anything, however, it's that someone will, sooner or later, take an F31 Touring and lovingly dump an M3 engine under its hood. Until that day, we'll have to make do with the saloon and coupe versions.
