A Fiat 500 Owner Axed His Car To Death After It Wouldn't Start

We’ve all been there: you need to get to work but your car won’t start. It’s a hugely frustrating situation to be in, but for 35-year-old accountant Spartaco Capon of Lissone, Italy, it was all a bit too much. According to The Mirror, the man had purchased a new Fiat 500 because unreliable public transport was making him late for work - leading to a warning from his boss.

However, in the first week of his new commute, the car failed to start, meaning he’d be late for the start of his shift yet again. This made Capon so furious, he brutally attacked the little Fiat with an axe, damaging every single panel. Bemused local police officers arrived after neighbours - who had assumed the car was being hacked to bits by a vandal - called them in, only for Capon to explain that the vehicle was in fact his.

It’s thought that the accountant had been suffering from severe stress, and after the incident, was taken to a psychiatric ward to be calmed down by doctors, plus given a week off work. The car was unsurprisingly a write-off.
