The Ford GT's Digital Instrument Cluster Is Awash With Futuristic Coolness

Like the Lexus LFA's space age instrument binnacle? You'll appreciate the display the Ford GT is packing

While I’m sure many petrolheads will prefer good ol’ analogue dials, every now and then a digital dash comes along that even the old school among us can admit is cool.

The Lexus LFA’s space age binnacle is one that springs to mind, and it turns out the new Ford GT’s is similarly awesome - as detailed in these two new videos from Ford Performance.

The display changes depending on which of the GT’s five driving modes - Normal, Wet, Sport, Track, V-Max - is selected. Sadly though, Ford Performance hasn’t shown us on video is what the display looks like when you’re smashing the GT’s 3.5-litre turbo V6 around to the redline. What a tease.

Not really a new Concept..
The 80s had the best looking, like the “Digifix” from VW Golf Mk 1 & 2, the Honda Prelude had one as extra too and i think the Subaru XV had one as extra too

Digital dashboards. A fail safe way to make even the most boring cars seem interesting.

From a graphic design point of view this is awesome since it helps driver to focus more on the road and making it a safer car to drive.
