If you don’t live in Brazil, you’re unlikely to have heard of Troller, so allow us to inform you. Troller is a Brazilian manufacturer of 4x4s. Since 1995 Troller has been churning out tough, utilitarian off-roaders, some of which have taken on the Dakar rally. The company was purchased by the Brazilian subsidiary of Ford in 2007, but the company was left to do what it does best. And so, here’s the latest version of Troller’s butch flagship off-roader, the T4.

The short wheelbased vehicle looks a bit like the love child of a Jeep Wrangler and a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin. It’s powered by a 3.2-litre diesel engine that sends shove to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, and it comes with chunky off-road tyres as standard. By the looks of the video below, it’s pretty handy on the rough stuff and would surely be a welcome, plucky addition to UK soils.
