Forget That Used Cayman; You Can Now Buy A Nearly-New Prius For The Same Price
We recently featured a Porsche Cayman that was up for sale at a tempting £15,500. The thing is, though, a Cayman is going to be pricey to run. Fuel economy won't be too great, vehicle tax expensive, and insurance costly. Given that a three-year-old Toyota Prius can be bought for about the same cash, why would you buy the Porsche?
The Prius will certainly be better on fuel, with a claimed economy figure of 70.6mpg. It's free from tax, and servicing will cost less than the Cayman. Sure, at 134bhp from the 1.8-litre four-pot engine it's a little down on power compared to the Porsche, but it'll still do 0-62mph in a brisk 10.1 seconds.
Most importantly of all, you can't beat that wonderful sense of self satisfaction you'll get each time you drive it to the nearest sustainable coffee shop.
This one is up for £14,495. It's done just 37,280 miles and is absolutely stuffed full of kit. Tempted? Leave immediately, you don't belong here...
