Forza 7's April Car Pack Includes Porsches, A Ferrari, And...A Honda Odyssey

The new batch of content for Forza Motorsport 7's latest DLC pack is almost with us, and it includes a Honda Odyssey for some reason

Don’t you just hate it? You get home and flop on the sofa after a long, hard day at work, and all you want to do is jump on a game and experience the joys of racing a Honda Odyssey minivan. But that means going to the effort of dusting off an old console and digging out a copy of Gran Turismo 4, 5, or 6, just so you can experience your favourite circuit in an ageing 2003 model.

As fun as that is, it’s about time you got to enjoy a more modern version of the Odyssey, right? Thankfully, Turn 10 has got your back, because the latest DLC pack for Forza 7 includes the 2018 Honda Odyssey. But before you all rush off to buy it, wait up, because there are a load of other interesting cars in the pack.

For starters, there’s the ultimate road-going version of the Porsche 924, the 1980 Carrera GTS, which was built to satisfy regulations to allow it race at Le Mans and pushes out 242bhp from its 2.0-litre turbo lump. There’s another Stuttgart legend in the pack, too - the Porsche 906 sports prototype, winner of the fearsome Targa Florio race back in 1966.

And you thought the Volvo XC90 of Forza 7's March pack was a weird addition...

That’s not the oldest car in the pack, though - that honour falls to the Ferrari 166 Inter Sport. Built in 1948, it’s one of the very earliest Ferraris and could be adapted to race in pretty much anything. Those skinny tyres should ensure it’s a hoot to drive - as should the 2.0-litre V12.

There are a couple more racing cars in the pack, too. As well as a Nissan GTP-ZX Turbo prototype, there’s also the ‘Spirit of America’ Greenwood Corvette. This brutal wide-bodied machine was based on the C3 ‘Vette, pumped out well over 700bhp (in 1976!) and topped 230mph on the famous Daytona banking.

Rounding out the new motors is a Maserati, which sounds great until you realise it’s not a classic racer or modern GT, but the Levante. Still, it should make for good competition for some of the other hot SUVs in the game.

Here’s the full list:

  • 1948 Ferrari 166 Inter Sport
  • 1966 Porsche 906
  • 1976 #76 Chevrolet Greenwood Corvette
  • 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS
  • 1986 #85 Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo
  • 2017 Maserati Levante S
  • 2018 Honda Odyssey

Normally, Turn 10 has its DLC packs out by this point in the month, but the April pack hasn’t appeared yet. It was supposed to have launched last week, but apparently some other updates that are rolling out with the pack have caused some issues, so the release has been delayed until next week. That kinda sucks, but we’ve waited this long to get our hands on a Honda Odyssey - what difference will a few more days make?
