Geiger's Supercharged Corvette C7 Stingray Is 590hp Of Yellow V8 Savagery
Fire power certainly isn’t something that the standard C7 Stingray is lacking, but that hasn’t stopped tuning companies from working their magic on the car’s 6.2-litre V8. Hennessey, for example, already offers a twin-turbo upgrade which ups power to an ungodly 707bhp and 661lb ft of torque. That’s an increase of 247bhp and 196lb ft over the standard car’s 460bhp and 465lb ft, by the way…
Now, German tuner Geiger Cars has entered the C7 tuning ring with its new supercharged offering. Unlike the mad Hennessey, however, the brand’s addition of a supercharger has endowed the car with a more modest power hike of 130bhp and 94lb ft. The total output of 590bhp and 558lb ft gives the Geiger C7 a top speed of 199mph.
Further Geiger mods to the C7 include coilover suspension all round, lightweight alloys (19 inches at the front, 20 inches at the rear) and a carbonfibre splitter, side skirts, diffuser and rear spoiler.
The car seen here in the pictures - including engine, bodywork and suspension upgrades - costs 113,000 euros (£89,000). The question is then, would you pick this C7 or the 550bhp, four-wheel drive Nissan GT-R?
