Give Your Ford Mustang GT A Hint Of GT350 With These Warranty-Friendly Upgrades

With 416bhp output from a 5.0-litre V8 and a low price to boot, the Mustang GT already offers a lot of bang for your buck. But what if you want just a little more power, without stretching to the full-fat GT350? That’s where Ford Performance’s new ‘Power Packs’ come in.
Three are on offer starting with Power Pack 1, which consists merely of a K&N panel filter and a remap. Still, it gives a healthy 13bhp/16lb ft gain over the standard car, and more importantly, you’ll get an extra 40lb ft than standard at 1500rpm.
Power Pack 2 ups the ante with a GT350 cold air intake and 87mm throttle body giving an extra 21bhp and 24lb ft, while Power Pack 3 has all of the above plus a GT350 intake manifold to provide a peak gains of 37bhp, and a 60bhp increase at 7500rpm.

It’s also being reported by other outlets that the upgrades are warranty-friendly. That’s not something mentioned in the press release, but if these are official Ford parts, that’s most likely the case.
The downside? The packs are currently for North American ‘Stangs only. We contacted Ford UK to find out if the upgrades might be available on this side of the pond at some point, and a company spokesperson told us: “Never say never. The beauty of ‘One Ford’ [the global strategy that made Mustang available in the UK in the first place] is everything’s already on the shelf.” However, it wouldn’t be for a while yet - the Mustang has to sustain the impressive sales it’s already enjoyed over here before upgrade availability is considered.
Cross your fingers, folks…

Chevy has something like this too where you can put parts from higher end camaros onto lower end camaros.
For example, putting brakes from the ZL-1 onto the SS

I don’t see a mustang meme so far. I hope not.
Dodge had this for years too but the biggest downside it’s the price which is often the double of a similar pack from another company
i’ll just leave this here https://youtu.be/rzblZGgnfP0
Chevy has had something like this. They will sell you lowering springs, track suspension/chassis enhancements, superchargers, and more, many of which come in high end Camaros like the Z/28.
