Good Guy Dodge Driver Stops A Deadly Police Chase By Smashing His Ram Into Fleeing Veloster

After a stolen car ploughed through a park and nearly hit several children, this quick-thinking pickup driver took matters into his own hands

Civilian intervention during a police chase isn’t always advisable, but you can’t argue that it was incredibly effective here.

After a 14-year-old boy stole his grandfather’s Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joy ride, a dangerous police chase ensued last Saturday during which the teen driver ploughed through a skatepark in Syracuse, Utah, very nearly running into several children.

When the Hyundai started to drive back towards the park, local driver Bryson Rowley took matters into his own hands, using his 3.2-tonne (approx) Dodge Ram to stop the 1.3-tonne Veloster head on. Both drivers were uninjured and the 14-year-old was taken to a local juvenile detention centre.

Find out what happened to the damaged Dodge next!
