My thought exactly. Down my ways even the thumbs up can be an insult.
Good to see people still care. When I see a bike lane filtering from behind me i always move over in my lane to give them as much room as possible to get past. Less than half the time I get a quick thanks from the biker but at least I’m doing my bit.
It’s not always a good idea to take a hand off the controls but I’ll always try and wave a hand, foot or give a nod if I can.
Trust me, if you’ve moved over to make my filtering easier its always appreciated mate. 😀
