Good News For Purists: A Ferrari SUV Isn't Going To Happen
Porsche has made SUVs for years, Maserati just released its own crossover, while Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Lamborghini are all following suit. So if you’ve been worried that Ferrari might be tempted to do the same, you can put your fears to rest, as the notion of an SUV from Maranello has been quashed by Fiat group CEO Sergio Marchionne.
Car magazine reports that at the Geneva motor show, Marchionne said that “We will not play with SUVs,” going on to say “it’s not in our DNA.”
So, for the foreseeable future at least, the most practical Ferrari you can buy will remain the new - and rather stunning - FF replacement: the GTC4 Lusso. And that’s fine by us.
What do you think? Could you cope with the idea of a Ferrari SUV, or is even the mere thought sacrilegious?
