It makes me sad that the one of the most beautifully made cars ends up being the most useless car. What a pity 😭😭😭😭
I love the new show, love the trio so I’m just gonna more or less give my two cents. I feel like what sorta brought a lot of the old show together was the news. The show is everyone’s down time in a way, and the news was down time to that down time. They could just sit there and talk about anything car related without having to force it to lead into another segment. That and the fact that a lot of their humor was British based. Road references, politician references, all that stuff they can blabber on about for the entire show.
But now they almost have to cater to the place that’s hosting them. Cause as an American, if Clarkson made a joke about Boris Johnson or roadworks on the M25, I wouldn’t get it and have to look it up. The whole traveling set idea is great but at the same time, it limits them when it comes to what they can say. And Dacia Sandero kind of jokes might not happen again because Americans will never see a Dacia in America, much less know what country it even comes from. So they really are having to cater to a much wider audience. Regional jokes can only get them so far before the casual watcher decides to click out because they don’t understand what the three are talking about.
It’s a hindrance but at the same time, I don’t doubt in their abilities to deliver an entertaining product. I’d actually prefer if they did make more jokes that only most Brits know. It wouldn’t make them feel as forced to be funny to the people immediately in front of them. But at the same time, telling a joke to an audience that wouldn’t get it would make for a really awkward scene. No one’s laughing besides those three. Oh well, just gonna tune in next Friday for ep2!

Seemed a little too scripted at times, when they were on BBC TG it seemed to flow a little better with back and further banter. Other than that I loved it. These three dudes have been sorely missed. Everything from the Cinematography to the Music selection was just awesome. Looking forward to the next 11 weeks.

I love how now their fun is not limited with a low budget. But the three can reach their full potential of stupidity and amusement due to the extremely high amazon budget
