Grand Tour S3 Studio Filming Dates Revealed As Ticket Applications Open
Want to be part of The Grand Tour’s third series? Now’s your chance. TGT announced today that audience ticket applications for the show’s tent-based studio filming days are now open, and will be until 23:59 (presumably BST) on 12 October.
Once again, the tent will be at a fixed location in the UK. This follows the same arrangement used for the second series, for which studio segments were all shot in the Cotswolds. Series 1 saw the tent travel around the world, before the idea was scrapped for series 2. “Given their sore joints, struggling lungs and combined age of 158, the studio tent has been given a new home in a charming location in the Cotswolds,” producer Andy Wilman said at the time.
The filming dates are listed as 31 October, 7 November, and 21 November. A similar time of year to 2017’s studio filming sessions, then, perhaps indicating that the third series will debut at a similar time to the second, which started airing on 8 December.
The Grand Tour’s studio may no longer be… touring, but that doesn’t mean Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May’s third Amazon Prime outing will be anything other than a jet-setting effort. Judging by social media posts, it looks like the TGT crew has been filming in Michigan, Arizona, Mongolia and parts of China, with the trio driving plenty of rather brisk machines including the McLaren Senna, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and Hennessey ‘Exorcist’ Camaro.
