The GT-R Isn't Fast Enough, So We're Getting This. Why? Because Nismo

As if Nissan's potent GT-R wasn't fast enough already, it's going under the Nismo knife

Good news Nissan GT-R fans. The Jap firm's tuning arm has confirmed that it's working on an 'ultimate' version of everyone's favourite Playstation car, the Nissan GT-R.

Set to join the Juke and 370Z Nismo models next year, the fettled GT-R will feature more power (the current twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 produces 542bhp), which should see it undercut the standard model's (pictured)ridiculous 0-62mph time of 3.0sec.

Like the 370Z Nismo, the GT-R Nismo will likely feature improved throttle response, more aero kit for increased downforce, plus bigger brakes, an updated interior and more aggressive body styling.

No word yet on performance, pricing and availability, but expect the GT-R Nismo to be, as Nissan describes it, effing 'special.'
