GTA Online's Newest Car Is An Homage To Japanese Coupes Of The 1970s

The first GTA Online update of 2018 brings a new set of wheels with it - a highly moddable mash-up of some classic 1970s Japanese sports cars

Just because we’re now in 2018 it doesn’t mean that Rockstar is slowing down with the updates for GTA Online.

The first new car of the year is this, the Annis Savestra - a typically-70s coupe which takes plenty of inspiration from classic Japanese motors, such as the Mazda RX-3, the first-generation Toyota Celica and the first Nissan Skyline GT-R.

As you’d expect, there’s a whole host of mods available for it at Los Santos Customs, but if looking killer isn’t enough for you then you can turn it into an actual killer because there’s also the option to fit machine guns to it. Obviously.

Want one? Well, it’ll cost you $990,000 of in-game money - less than some recent DLC cars, but still pretty expensive.

Luckily there are plenty of bonuses active at the moment, with double money and RP being awarded in the Occupy and Slasher modes until Monday.

It’s crazy, if Cockstar added this a few years ago it would’ve been 1/3 of this price at the absolute max(which is still crazy for an RX3)… The milking is real

An RX3 lookalike?! I need one, no, I need 3…but I am not going to buy those damn Shark Cards for this! This thing should be a 1/5th of its current price! (Even then it’s still slightly costly for an RX3.)

I just went on my grind with the CEO vehicle sourcing/selling. Get about 10-15 standard/mid range cars saved in there and alost every new source will be top range. Then do headhunter or sightseer while you wait for selling

I’m so glad GTA finally has a 70’s Japanese Coupe in the game; that’s the one style of car I saw as a glaring omission. Neat that they primarily went for the Mazda RX-3 as a styling choice.

I was rocking the GTR lookalike, the old one, looked super cool when I’d take it eat up some corners

I’m pretty sure it’s only 1 mil just because of the f*ckin’ pea shooters you can put on.
