This Guy 3D Prints Awesome Working Models Of Car Components

From an EJ20 Subaru boxer engine to a Toyota four-wheel drive transfer case, these 3D printed models are amazing!

This seriously cool little thing is a 35 per cent scale model of an EJ20 four-cylinder boxer engine, and thanks to an electric motor, everything turns and works just as it does on the real thing. After spotting this video over on Jalopnik, we couldn’t resist heading over to the channel of the uploader - Eric Harrell - to see if he’s done anything like this before. Here we found yet more cool 3D printed models including an open differential, an Toyota 4WD transfer case and 22RE engine, all of which you can download and 3D print yourselves.

If you’re big on DIY projects and eager to learn they’re not too expensive to build. Its as crazy and expensive as you want to get really. His setup probably has really good resolution and axis control, but simpler ones that print rougher are as cheap as you can get the parts and materials. The print head I think is the only part you have to really pay decent money for
