Hamilton And Rosberg Just Smashed Into Each Other At The Spanish GP

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were battling for the lead on lap one of the Spanish Grand Prix when the two collided and smashed out of the race

Via MyNameIsJonny_/Reddit

It looks like Nico Rosberg was trying to cover the inside on the run to Turn 4, as Lewis Hamilton quickly closed in. But as the triple world champion tried to move alongside, Rosberg kept on pulling to the right, with Hamilton going onto the grass. From there, he was simply a passenger, spinning and crashing into his team-mate. Not what Mercedes wants, but it mixes the race up nicely for us.

Nico used that line only so he could block Lewis. Everyone else enters the corner from the left like it should be done.

I think it’s Roseberg’s fault. He pushed Hamilton outside on purpose. The perfect line was on the left, with a late Apex for that parabolic. Ntz ntz…

At least the result would be different

To be honest the race suddenly became so much more interesting, as you can’t be 99% sure about who will be on the podium

I think that was Rosberg’s fault. He gave Hamilton no space at all, there was nowhere for Hamilton to go. But I’m #TeamSV5 so what do I care lol

Its always Hamilton who turns off his brain and screams the loudest afterwards…
no sympathy at all for him. this was a situation in which nobody could have overtaken rosberg, only if rosberg would have let them pass and no drive would have left that door open. i just see massive reckless driving from hamilton. he shouldn’t be allowed to start the next time. he provoked a crash in which easily the whole field could have got involved.

IMO you guys are too used with this…pussy-formula one. Hamilton was trying to overtake and Rosberg blocked him, isn’t this something normal? I think you’d like a new rule, like…”If Hamilton is trying to overtake anyone, you have to let him !!!”

I think it was Hamiltons fault. Rosberg started moving to the right before Lewis was beside him so Lewis should have backed out.
