Everyone’s favourite custom 458 Italia is no more. Ferrari’s lawyers have contacted the DJ to issue him a cease and desist, most likely due to the custom emblems that mimic the Ferrari logo, as well as his interior mats.

Deadmau5 had wrapped his 458 in the distinctive design as a tribute to the Nyan Cat meme, and took it on the Gumball rally. But we won’t be seeing that unique design any more, as the Italia is back in its original white state (though it retains its pink calipers).

It’s not yet clear if the change of design was a direct result of the cease and desist notice or if it was a route the music producer was going to go down anyway, but it’s still sad to see the Purrari go. After all, it was probably one of the most photographed and shared Ferraris in the world.
