Hennessey Now Sells A 1000bhp Kit For The Jeep Trackhawk
Last month we brought you a standard Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk drag racing against a Cadillac Escalade fitted with expert tuner Hennessey’s HPE800 supercharger kit. Now then, let’s turn that on its head a little: this is a Trackhawk fitted with a similar monstrous forced induction setup, and the results are alarming.
Strapping a new 4.5-litre supercharger delivering 14psi of boost to the 6.2-litre Hellcat engine under the bonnet results in a supercar-bashing 1012bhp at the flywheel – or 823bhp at the wheels (roughly a 19 per cent drivetrain loss). Torque is a mighty 969lb ft at the engine, reduced to 717lb ft at the road courtesy of a heavier 27 per cent loss.
The HPE1000 kit includes longer header tubes, a high-flow supercharger bypass valve, an upgraded fuel pump and induction system and an ECU upgrade. You also get one plaque signed by John Hennessey and another signed by the Hennessey technician who installed it all. Oh, and also there are HPE1000 badges. Because +50hp.
As you can imagine, the finished article’s performance is, err, memorable. The claims span a 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds and a standing quarter time of 10.5 seconds. That is one fast family car. If you’re very particular about getting your frozen goods home quickly, you know what to do.
Prices aren’t public, but a similar kit for a Charger or Challenger Hellcat costs $55,000 on top of the car itself.

1 THOUSAND BHP SUV!?
IN A JEEP!?
My face right now ( ☆ ʖ ☆)
Isn’t a 20% drivetrain loss a lot ? Even for a RWD front engine ?
The Trackhawk is AWD
Nope. All AWDs pretty much loose 20%, while RWD looses about 15%
Insanity upon insanity
Does it have 3 turbos?
Sorry, 4
I love Hennessy for this reason
Hennessey rarely delivers on customer car contracts. Why do you guys keep posting about a fraudulent company that continues to take our money and not deliver? Its like clickbait straight from CarThrottle hq.
Why shouldn’t they?
