Here Are Some Of The Porsches That’ll Be In Project Cars 2

The second video in Project Cars 2’s ‘Built by Drivers’ series has not only illustrated the involvement of real-life drivers, but also showed off some of the new Porsche cars that’ll be available to race.

New details on the up-coming game are being announced all the time, most recently the incredibly well-timed reveal of three classic Indianapolis 500 cars that’ll feature.

We still don’t have a final release date, with PC2 and Slightly Mad Studios sticking with late 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

But the new video (below) titled ‘Porsche Passion’ has revealed some of the cool Porsches that’ll feature, as well as giving us a look at how factory driver Patrick Long has been involved in their development.

A good range of Porsches are showcased, including the 936 (three times a Le Mans winner), 935 and 911 GT3 RS.

Securing the help of Long - who has scored class wins in iconic races such as Le Mans, the Daytona 24 Hours, Sebring 12 Hours and Bathurst 12 Hours – is a big coup for PC2.

  • Porsche 918 Spyder

Meanwhile it’s also been confirmed that the host of Formula 1’s United States Grand Prix, the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, will be part of the game.

As with the first game, the focus is on racecars. A lot of the roadcars are largely cars that the manufacturers want to promote, and the CGT is too old for Porsche to see any value in pushing it.

Nobody

Wait, a game that actually ships with Porsche’s instead of charging too much as DLC? Weird.
