Here's An Even Better Video Of Aston Martin Valkyrie Making Shouty V12 Noises
It was an utter joy to finally hear the Aston Martin Valkyrie belting out its V12 tune last week. A series of clips from Aston officials - including CEO Andy Palmer - gave us a behind-the-scenes look from a customer event at Silverstone, and we loved what we saw/heard.
But we’ll happily take a little more of that action, and we’re sure you lot would too. With that in mind, you might want to give the video above a view. Preferably with some headphones plugged in.
It’s from the same event, which gave Valkyrie buyers a chance to watch a prototype Valkyrie undergoing testing. This video is a lot longer, though.
The best part is, this isn’t even the full capability of the engine. When contacted by Car Throttle, Aston Martin confirmed that the car was short-shifting at around 9000rpm. Yes, that’s right, changing gear at 9k revs in a Valkyrie is ‘short-shifting’.
This is because the Valkyrie’s Cosworth-built V12 revs to an astonishing 11,100rpm, with peak power coming in at 10,500rpm. The 6.5-litre engine is good for 1000bhp, with a hybrid system - which includes Rimac components - bringing the total output to 1160bhp.

Short shifting at 9k rpm in an 11000 N/A rpm v12 sounds like a wet dream
wait till that car his 10,000rpm then it ascends past wet dream, but when you reach 11,000rpm that engine will ascend further to godhood!
I can‘t tell how bad i want to drive this machine🤤
Probably the prettiest engine ever
The greatest 6.5L V12 engine ever created by man reason, 11,100rpm redline thats why!
