Here's How Awesome A Nissan Micra Nismo Would Look

A Nismo version of the surprisingly striking new Micra would help the Nissan further shake off its fusty image, and judging by this render, it'd look great

Every single generation of the Nissan Micra has looked about as threatening as a baby bunny rabbit, so we were rather pleased when the latest version made its debut at the Paris Motor Show last week. Yep, Nissan finally has a Micra that might prove tempting to people below retirement age, thanks to its sharp lines and surprisingly scowly face.

However, we reckon Nissan could go one step further in helping the Micra shed its pensioner-friendly image: a Nismo version. It’s longer, wider and lower than the old Micra, so it’s ripe for a Nismo fiddle, no doubt involving some sort of small, fizzy turbocharged engine dropped under the bonnet. And on the outside? It’d probably look something like this render from X-Tomi Design.

Sure, the wheels are a little more enormous than the sort of rims Nissan would end up fitting, but we reckon it’s a realistic vision of how a hotter Micra could look. So will it happen? The official company line from Nissan is that there are “no plans” at present for a hotter Micra, but it hasn’t been ruled out either.

Come on Nissan, you know you want to…

A Micra Nismo? That’s taking a little City Car and stuffing some Chilli’s up its exhaust, for sure.

I won’t be surprised if Nismo put a GT-R engine in a Micra for the sake of publicity lol.

It needs a 1.6 turbo with around 200bhp, some suspension and steering improvements, this exact design (ok, maybe more realistic rims), a pricetag of under £18k and its ready to conquer the market

If they made it it could be the modern day Pulsar GTI-R! 930kg and over 200hp! True pocket rocket!
