Here's How The Corvette ZR1 Will Look As A Convertible

Here's How The Corvette ZR1 Will Look As A Convertible

It’s only been a couple of days since General Motors unveiled the evil-looking C7 Corvette ZR1, but that hasn’t stopped people from using their imagination to try and make it better. As is the case with any Corvette, the new ZR1 begs the question: how would it look as a convertible?

A drop-top ZR1 is expected at some point, but for now here’s a preview courtesy of prolific Internet render maestro X-Tomi Design. He’s chopped the roof off the ZR1 in the virtual world, leaving behind an aggressive-looking roadster with a really big rear wing.

Unlike a lot of convertibles, however, we think the roof delete makes the all-powerful ‘Vette look even more like a track weapon than its hard-topped cousin.

What do you think of it?

I really just don’t like the wing ya I get it I’m like every other dude who has an opinion the car looks great but why not try to do something original. Give the car a physical dimension that will improve the downforce like on a hyuara. The self-adjusting areo is a visual masterpiece at work while the bolt on wing on the zr1 looks like it came off a hotwheel. Massive large wings have been done for years on American sports cars; why not try to bridge the gap from the Corvette to a true supercar. Even if it elevates the price a little no doubt it will always push numbers.
