Now here’s a car project I would royally screw up, if my life depended on it.
My dad achieved the same result on his Datsun 510 in 10 minutes by simply using an old towel and jamming it under the dash top
Pressed like the instant I spotted an E28 in the intro.
Gauges satisfy me so much. Watching the needle rise and fall.
The time i was visiting England, i saw a completely flocked Porsche 911 parked in Hammersmith

Wait a sec, most race cars don’t have dashboards, so…….
VW went too cheap in their mk6 North American Jetta so they put in a plastic dash. That damn thing needs flocking desperately.
Flocking would make a dam good headliner. No sagging, ripping, only hard part would be application. Also the reason this stuff probably cover so well and hides damage is because of its very low gloss and fiberous texture hides alor.
