VW went too cheap in their mk6 North American Jetta so they put in a plastic dash. That damn thing needs flocking desperately.

Flocking would make a dam good headliner. No sagging, ripping, only hard part would be application. Also the reason this stuff probably cover so well and hides damage is because of its very low gloss and fiberous texture hides alor.
