Here's The Lamborghini Urus Rumbling Its Way Around The Nurburgring

Lamborghini's incoming SUV continues to test on the Nordschleife, and it's starting to sound a little angrier

Whether we like it or not, the Urus is coming. Purists will decry the idea of slapping a Lamborghini badge on the front of a high-riding luxury SUV, but Sant’Agata Bolognese is set to sell a shed load of these.

Camouflaged Urus test mules have been spotted hitting the Nurburgring hard in recent weeks, giving us an idea of what to expect from the car. This latest video has just emerged, and to us, it seems to show a noisier Urus compared to what we’ve seen and heard from previous footage.

Power is expected to come from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with a power output of around 600bhp. Lamorghini’s last and only other SUV effort - the LM002 - was powered by a 5.2-litre V12, or - weirdly - a 7.2-litre 12-banger originally designed for Class 1 offshore powerboats…

There is definitely a fine line between cashing in on the SUV craze and making something terrible that shouldn’t exist.

And then we will paint it in different color and call it Pirelli edition!

I’m very upset about the V8. Back in the 90s, the LM002 was the world’s coolest “Jeep/Truck” with the same V12 as the Countach and EXACTLY the same exhaust noise! Now WHY THE F DOES THE URUS HAVE A V8???

It is means more profit for Lambo (and thus more money for RnD and general crazyness) personally i have to be in favor of it

Well, Lamborghini was already an SUV manufacturer, and before that made tractors as you may know. So we can’t really say there’s a loss of credibility in this case. That being said I still hate the Urus with every fiber of my being.

It is a shame it isn’t a V10 or V12 - purely for the Sound. a V8 doesn’t really suit a lambo imo

It’s not the first V8 Lambo.
There are three models preceding it: the Urraco, Jalpa and Silhouette.
